Meet the Thimbles Family

We’re a family-run craft and quilting shop dedicated to fabric lovers, stitchers and makers across South Africa.

In late 2024, our family became the new custodians of Thimbles Quilting Shop – a place that has always been more than a shop. Thimbles is a community of makers who share a love for quilting, embroidery, cross stitch and crafts of all kinds.

We are committed to honouring the beautiful heritage built by the previous team, while introducing new ideas, workshops and products that enrich and grow our crafting community in Durbanville and greater Cape Town.
